JTV Brilliant Cash™ Rewards - FAQ’s

JTV Brilliant Cash Rewards (“Brilliant Cash Rewards” or “Rewards”) are incentives you can recieve by making qualifying purchases of merchandise and services offered on JTV’s television broadcast, online at jtv.com or on JTV mobile Apps (“Qualifying Purchase(s)”). Qualifying Purchases must be made during specified JTV promotions. During these promotions, JTV will identify the items that are Qualifying Purchases and tell you the amount of Brilliant Cash Rewards that will be received for each Qualifying Purchase. Sales tax collected by JTV, third-party donations, and shipping & handling are all excluded from calculating the amount of Qualifying Purchases.

When you make your first Qualifying Purchase (unless you check out online as a “Guest”), you’ll automatically be given a Brilliant Cash Rewards Account (an “Account”) that will be used to maintain the balance of your Brilliant Cash Rewards.  If you’ve provided us with an email address, we’ll send you, via email, a JTV Brilliant Cash welcome email with information and details on your first Reward (e.g., dollar amount of the Reward).  If we don’t have your email address, we’ll confirm the creation of your Brilliant Cash Rewards Account by phone when you make your first Qualifying Purchase with our Call Center.  We’ll store your Account in our system, and it will automatically be available when you contact our Call Center to place future orders. You do not need to provide any special Brilliant Cash information to access your Account.  After all of the items making up your Qualifying Purchase are shipped your Rewards are available for immediate use, subject to the restrictions we outlined in the Brilliant Cash Terms and Conditions.  You may continue to receive additional Brilliant Cash Rewards for subsequent Qualifying Purchases.  Your Rewards balance will vary depending on the dollar amount of your Qualifying Purchases, your purchases using Brilliant Cash Rewards, returns of your purchases and the redemption period of your Rewards.  In most cases, your Brilliant Cash Rewards balance will be adjusted automatically by JTV to reflect these transactions. Pay close attention to the terms of your Brilliant Cash Rewards (particularly the redemption periods) so you can use your Rewards before they’re gone!  Use of your Brilliant Cash Rewards are subject to the Brilliant Cash Terms and Conditions.

For every Qualifying Purchase, you will earn Brilliant Cash Rewards, which are redeemable for a specified amount off of a future JTV purchase. JTV will indicate what purchases qualify you for Brilliant Cash Rewards and tell you the amount of Brilliant Cash Rewards you’ll receive.  We determine these Qualifying Purchases in our sole discretion. You won’t get Rewards for any sales tax you pay, for donations, or for shipping & handling.  Rewards can be received only on purchases of in-stock items.

Here are two examples about how Qualifying Purchases might increase your Rewards balance: (1) JTV offers you $10 of Brilliant Cash Rewards if you spend $100 or more or (2) we offer $15 of Brilliant Cash Rewards if you spend $150 on Bella Luce branded items.

To receive credit for Rewards on online purchases on jtv.com, you must sign into your JTV account.  If you order online and check out as a “Guest,” your purchase will not be a Qualifying Purchase.

If you call the Call Center or use the Express Ordering System to place your order, you’ll be given credit for Qualifying Purchases, since JTV will access your JTV account to make your purchase.

JTV will identify what constitutes a Qualifying Purchase for every promotion.  So, be on the lookout for promotions on our broadcast, on jtv.com or on our mobile App. Examples of Qualifying Purchases are provided in the section immediately above.

Any Qualifying Purchase you make using your JTV account, through our Call Center or through our Express Ordering System will result in an addition to your Brilliant Cash Rewards balance.

If you make a Qualifying Purchase online and you checkout as a “Guest,” you won’t receive Rewards for that purchase.

Your Brilliant Cash Rewards are redeemable for purchases of merchandise and services offered for sale on JTV’s television broadcast, online at jtv.com or on the JTV mobile Apps, subject to certain exclusions discussed in the terms and conditions. You can’t use Rewards to buy JTV Gift Cards or to make purchases at the Gemstore by Jewelry Television in Knoxville, Tennessee.

To redeem your Rewards toward a purchase of JTV merchandise and services, you can either use your Brilliant Cash Rewards online at checkout on jtv.com, or call the JTV Customer Center at (800)-619-3000 (available 24 hrs./day). Let the Customer Service Agent assisting you know that you wish to apply Brilliant Cash Rewards to your purchase.

To check your Rewards balance or for any other questions related to your Brilliant Cash Rewards, call JTV Customer Care at (800)-619-3000 (available 24 hrs/day) or log into www.JTV.com.

You can use your Brilliant Cash Rewards until the end of the redemption period, which is the last day of the month following the date your Rewards are awarded, unless you keep your rewards balance active by initiating a Qualifying Activity during the month in which your active rewards are scheduled to expire. Each time you earn or redeem Rewards, the redemption period of your previously earned and unused Brilliant Cash rewards balance will be extended (as applicable) until the last day of the month after the month in which you earned or redeemed Rewards.

For example, Jo Ann places an order that earns $20 in Brilliant Cash on March 15. That Reward will expire on April 30. However, when Jo Ann redeems $10 in Brilliant Cash on April 4, the redemption period for her remaining $10 in Brilliant Cash rewards will be extended until May 31st.

On May 30th, Jo Ann then makes another purchase that qualifies her for additional Brilliant Cash Rewards in the amount of $20. This is another Qualifying Activity which increases Jo Ann’s Brilliant Cash Rewards balance to $30, assuming Jo Ann has not used her previous $10 Rewards balance on this purchase or another purchase from JTV. The redemption period for her entire Rewards balance is extended until June 30th.

There is no limit on the amount of Brilliant Cash Rewards you can be awarded.  In most cases, there is also no limit on the amount of Rewards you may redeem for purchases, although certain exceptions apply, such as for purchases using our StretchPay™ program. These exceptions are outlined in the Brilliant Cash Terms and Conditions and these FAQs.

If you return all of your items, you will receive an appropriate credit to your method of payment and an adjustment to your Rewards balance (if you have a Rewards balance at the time of the return).  The credit and the Rewards adjustment will take into account the amount charged to your method of payment for the Qualifying Purchase, the Rewards earned by the Qualifying Purchase, and your Rewards balance when the return is received. If less than all items are returned, your refund will be reduced by a pro-rata amount of the Brilliant Cash Rewards acquired from the Qualifying Purchase, based on the item(s) returned Other charges, such as restocking fees and return shipping, will also reduce the amount credited to your method of payment. All such returns are subject to our standard return policies and procedures.

The application of our policy is illustrated by the following examples. Jo Ann buys sterling silver earrings for $39.99 and a topaz ring for $59.99.  This purchase is a Qualifying Purchase, and Jo Ann receives $10 of Brilliant Cash Rewards. She uses her VISA card for this purchase.

  • If she returns only the earrings, she receives a return credit to her VISA card of $35.99, ($39.99 - $4; the $4 adjustment is the pro-rata amount of the Brilliant Cash Rewards she received for the Qualifying Purchase for that item). If there is a $5 charge for sending the return back to JTV, the credit to Jo Ann’s credit card would instead be $30.99.
  • If Jo Ann returns only the topaz ring, she receives a return credit to her VISA card of $53.99 ($59.99 - $6; the $6 adjustment is the pro-rata amount of the Brilliant Cash Rewards she received for the Qualifying Purchase for that item).

If Jo Ann returns all items from her purchase transaction, the return amount will depend on her Rewards balance.

  • If her existing Rewards balance is $10 or more, then $10 will be deducted from her Rewards balance, and she will receive a return credit to her VISA card in the amount of $99.98 ($39.99 + $59.99).
  • If her Brilliant Cash Rewards balance is $0, then her return credit to her VISA card is $89.98 ($99.98 – the $10 Rewards she received for the Qualifying Purchase).
  • If her Brilliant Cash Rewards balance is between 0 and $10, then her return credit will vary based on her Rewards balance.  If Jo Ann’s Rewards balance is $6 at the time of the return, $6 will be deducted from her Rewards account, and she will receive a return credit to her VISA card in the amount of $95.98 (purchase price of $99.98 - $4 (the difference between the $10 in Rewards received for the Qualifying Purchase and the $6 amount deducted from her Rewards balance)).

If you return all the items you purchased (in whole or in part) with Brilliant Cash, you will receive a return credit for the amount charged to your method of payment, and your Rewards account will be credited with the Brilliant Cash Rewards used for the purchase.  In addition, the redemption period for your Brilliant Cash Rewards will be extended to the end of the month following the date your return is processed.

If you purchased multiple items using your Brilliant Cash Rewards and return some (but not all) of the items, you will receive a credit to your method of payment for the purchase price of the item(s) and a pro rata credit to your Rewards account based on the price of the item(s) you returned.  In addition, the redemption period for your Brilliant Cash Rewards will be extended to the end of the month following the date your return is processed.

All such returns are subject to our standard return policies and procedures.  Other charges, such as restocking fees and return shipping, will reduce the amount credited to the method of payment you used to make the purchase.

No. Brilliant Cash Rewards are not transferable and may not be sold.   Brilliant Cash Rewards also have no cash value and are not redeemable for cash unless otherwise required by law.

JTV’s Stretch Pay™ Program allows you to pay for our merchandise in installments.  You can use your Rewards to make the first Stretch Pay payment (we call this your “deposit”), although we may need to make a slight adjustment to that payment to set up your method of payment for future installments.  More on that below.  You can’t use your Brilliant Cash Rewards to make payments on any existing installment plans, such as those you may have for previous StretchPay™ purchases.  Rewards also can’t be used to make payments on any credit account, such as a Discover Card or a JTV Preferred Account credit card.

If your Rewards balance won’t cover your first payment on your Stretch Pay™ purchase (and the difference is more than $1), you may simply apply your Rewards balance to the first payment, and we’ll charge your method of payment for the remaining amount. For example, if your first payment is $100 and your Rewards balance is $40, we’ll reduce your Rewards balance by $40 and charge your method of payment for what’s left over ($60).

If your Rewards balance is larger than the amount of the first payment, we’ll need to add one small step--charging your method of payment for $1. This will allow us to set up your method of payment for the future installments.  We’ll also need to add this step if you want to use your Rewards and a JTV Gift Card for the first payment and the combined balances exceed the amount of that payment.

Here’s an example of how this will work.  Nadine is purchasing a $500 item on Stretch Pay™.  She’ll have a total of five payments of $100. Nadine has $75 in her Rewards account and a $50 JTV Gift Card.  She wants to use them both for her first payment.  We’ll reduce her Rewards balance by $75.  We’ll then reduce her JTV Gift Card by $24 and charge her VISA card for $1. At that point, Nadine will have made her first StretchPay™ payment, and she’ll still have $26 left on her JTV Gift Card.  Her remaining StretchPay™ installments will be charged to her VISA card.

Rewards may not be used to buy JTV gift cards or make purchases at JTV’s Gemstore in Knoxville, Tennessee.  You also can’t use your Rewards on existing installment plans, including those made under StretchPay™ or to make payments on any credit account, including on credit cards like VISA or the JTV credit card.
