Ella Stein™ makes diamond jewelry even more meaningful because every step of the process, from design to finish, is completed by women for women. Founded by Adi Choksi, who grew up around his family's diamond manufacturing business in India, he decided to create a diamond brand to empower his daughter and uplift other local women. Each of the diamonds is hand cut and polished by self-employed women in a rural village in India and then handcrafted by talented female artisans in Mumbai, India. These fulfilling and unique jobs give these women and their friends the opportunity to get out of poverty and to create a better life for themselves.
Ella Stein™ jewelry is made from sustainably sourced diamonds and uses certified recycled sterling silver, plus each piece also comes wrapped in reusable packaging made from recycled materials. When an engagement ring is created, only 40% of the diamond is used and the rest is thrown away. However, almost 100% of the diamond is used when creating a piece of Ella Stein jewelry, eliminating waste and making the pieces completely sustainable.
